Good week with 9hours completed. Went out with Nirvana Cycle shop again on Saturday. It was another great day with lots of sunshine, no rain and kilometers of great singletrack!
We did 3hours offroad and I got 5 hours in for the day. The best thing about the day was my recovery though, I felt fine the rest of the day and was ready to go again the next day, but I blew my front fork out and had to take it to Nirvana for a service.Guess it will have to be the Specialized this week for commuting to work, but it's ok, I will take it to the 10th floor with me and keep it next to my desk,I've already cancelled all my meetings for the week...
Can't belive its June already.Only 19 more days and I will be in South Africa. First to our game farm for a couple of days for some hunting and 29degree weather in a South African winter. My bike is coming with, should be great riding on the farm, always wanted to and I am sure I will see alot of game riding quietly along the farm roads.
Then off to Knysna on the South East coast for a training week with a past participant in the Cape Epic and I will be fininshng of the week with the Pick and Pay , Knysna Oyster Festival Mountain bike Marathon race. A great 85km challenge with 2000m plus climbing, after a hard week it should be fun!
Being in South Africa will afford some luxuries(very few) including a sports massage after each training day and hopefully one after the race on Saturday as well.Thebest thing will be the look on my parents faces when the masseus comes by each dayHopefully it will be a Fabilina and not a Fabio doing the massaging, although, it should not matter as its for the skae of recovery after all.
My last week will be spend in Pretoria, relaxing and spending time with family and friends, but I am sure they will get me out on the bike once or twice while I'm there.
Keep coming back for more updates, only 2 months until the Mountain Goats strutt their stuff on the slopes of the Rocky Mountains!
